The studio
DKA is a design and build practice creating contextually appropriate and innovative solutions, tailored always to the needs of the people who will use them.
For 28 years the studio has worked across northern India on houses, interiors, institutions, and commercial buildings, holding architecture and its making in the same hands, so what is drawn is what gets built.
The practice was formerly known as Dalip Khurana and Associates.

Approach

Every project begins with the site, the climate, and the way it will be lived in. Holding design and build together lets the studio test ideas in material reality, refining them until the innovative and the appropriate become the same thing.
